Parents will often enroll their children in martial arts, music lessons, or other sports and physical disciplines because these activities teach determination. If a child learns
and master this life-skill, they’ll be driven to achieve their goals.
With determination, your children will develop a “never give up” attitude. It will help them learn the value and benefits of persevering.
Someone once said to me, “A child has sight, a parent has vision.” At their young age, a child does not have the vision to know that by giving up and quitting something that it will most likely hurt their self-confidence.
As a parent, you can help your children learn determination by not allowing them to quit just because something is hard. Encourage them to be persistent and work through their challenges to achieve their goals and succeed.
